- NaNoWriMo, in case you didn’t know, is National Novel Writing Month – where you punch out a novel in one month, no matter how good or bad (mostly bad). Won’t bag you the Pulitzer prize, but will at least motivate you enough to get off your ass and start working on those novelist dreams of yours. One week into the NaNoWriMo, how are your novels shaping up?

- Here’s a magic levitating lamp that floats in the air, brightens up your room, and terrifies visitors at night. Is there a little David Blaine hidden inside? No, its just science.
- Just when you thought it was over, they strike back. DailyDeals is a new daily deals (tada!) site that wants to sell you one more discount coupon for a massage at that crappy spa. Dear God, when will it end?
- How can anyone still hate Bill Gates? Good question. Now hear the excellent answer at Forbes as David Coursey questions the very sanity in hating a man who is curing malaria and fixing global health problems. And the other messiah, Steve Jobs? He’s gone without leaving a doodle to charity. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I think Gates deserves a break now.
- In early 2010, reports leaked of a Microsoft tablet codenamed ‘Courier’ that had the tech community all ga-ga. It would have worked as a digital moleskin notebook, and looked damn impressive.
